With the days counting down to the new season, Wally Wilson Racing has been working in the shop preparing the cars, while putting together marketing partners.
Wally Wilson has a full schedule on tap, as he is set to run all of the Queenston OSCAAR Modified events in 2019. Though he isn’t ready to let go of his roots yet, electing to compete in a partial Outlaw Midget campaign as well.
Race fans, begin planning your summer racing schedules. In addition to several tracks and series having already released their tentative plans already, three more touring divisions joined the fray with the release of their schedules on Tuesday, January 22.
Jordan Howse had run Outlaw Midget events before, but getting behind the wheel of the Brian Woodland owned No. 48 proved to be the magic ticket. He scored his first career Outlaw Midget feature victory on Saturday night at Peterborough Speedway’s Autumn Colours Classic.
Since 50 laps – well 48, but we’ll get to that – in the OSCAAR Modified wasn’t enough, Wally Wilson performed double duty in running the Outlaw Midget event as well. Ultimately, he was able to leave Sunset Speedway with a top-10 finish.
After coming close through the years, Jessica James put together a stellar performance en route to winning the Velocity 250 Outlaw Midget feature on Sunday afternoon.
Showing speed during practice, Wally WIlson saw his Saturday night end early at Sunset Speedway as a result of a mechanical failure.
