With all eyes on the championship battle for the Lucas Oil Sportsman Cup Series, the rest of the field was set on stealing the glory with a trip to victory lane.
This past Saturday night, Flamboro Speedway staff and drivers joined together with fans to honor the drivers, crew members, and staff of the past. The celebration together, including an autograph session and corn roast, brought smiles to everyone’s faces.
After coming close throughout the season to date, everything came together for Bobby Mercer on Saturday night as he scored the victory in the second McClurkin Properties Cambridge Pure Stock feature.

Despite weather playing havoc with the schedule and forcing a half-hour rain delay midway through, Flamboro Speedway was able to get in the majority of the features on Saturday night.
As the temperatures continue to stay hot, the action does on-track at Flamboro Speedway as well. Children were entertained on Saturday night, between receiving bikes and backpacks, to riding in the cars before the races began. The adults were also entertained, but we’d expect that based on the on-track action.
