MILGROVE, Ontario — This past Saturday night, Flamboro Speedway staff and drivers joined together with fans to honor the drivers, crew members, and staff of the past. The celebration together, including an autograph session and corn roast, brought smiles to everyone’s faces.
Though that was just the icing on the cake, as the racing on-track was exciting as well. With the special night on deck, some of the divisions were given the opportunity to run heats instead of the twin features.
Grisdale Racing Products Late Models
Points leader J.R. Fitzpatrick won the second qualifier ahead of Carson Nagy, Rick Burbridge, Jake Gilbert, Chris Howse, Kenny Forth, and Mike Klotz.
The feature would see J.R. Fitzpatrick make his way to the front, scoring his eighth feature victory of 2019 ahead of Blair Wickett, Mark Burbridge, Rick Burbridge, and Chris Howse. Kevin Albers finished sixth, followed by Tyler Di Venanzo, Lane Zardo, Chad Corcoran, and Kenny Forth. Jake Gilbert placed 11th, followed by Mark Klotz and David Gallinger, while Gary Elliott and Carson Nagy failed to finish.

Ray’s Towing & Recovery Super Stocks
Steve Cashmore got his first win of the season in the second feature ahead of Brad Collison, Austin Penney, and AJ Miller. Randy Rusnell borrowed Erik Dalla Riva’s mini stock to start tail of the field to earn points towards the championship.
As a result of a victory and a runner-up, Brad Collison was crowned the Memorial Night winner.

Klotz Auto Repair & Machine Shop Mini Stocks
Karl Sault won the second qualifier ahead of Shawn Taylor, Mike Hooper, Wendy Adams, and Rick Robinson. David Goodacre. finished sixth, followed by Tyler Lewis.
Despite chaos on the opening lap, Karl Sault made his way through, scoring his ninth feature victory of 2019 ahead of Dylan Sharpe, Erik Dalla Riva, Tyler Lewis, and Kaitlyn Wallace. Dale Millard finished sixth, followed by Kyle Da Silva, Mike Hooper, Rick Robinson, and Kyle Istead. Wendy Adams placed 11th, while David Goodacre, Shawn Taylor, and Jonathan Ayrton failed to finish.

McClurkin Properties Cambridge Pure Stocks
Courtney Scott won the second qualifier ahead of Jared Bodner, Mark Thorne, Dale Lucas, Rob Hoskins, Mark Dennis, and Megan Mitchell.
Bobby Mercer made his way through the field to score his second feature victory of 2019 ahead of Mark Thorne, Leo Labarbera, Kyle Lucas, and Mark Dennis. Jared Bodner finished sixth, followed by Courtney Scott, Jeff Kells, Brian Gamble, and Jimmy Hooper. Andy Wheller failed to finish, while Megan Mitchell was scored 12th. Reece Bourgeois and Dale Lucas also failed to finish, with Rob Hoskins not taking the green flag.

Canadian Vintage Modifieds
Max Wright scored his second win of 2019 in the first feature ahead of Steve Trendell, John Karley, TJ Marshall, and Jeremy Barton. Mike Podd finished sixth, followed by Ian McIntyre, Amanda Stoner, and Mike Westwood. Bill Stoner failed to take the green flag.
TJ Marshall picked up his fifth victory of the season in the second feature ahead of Steve Trendell, Mike Podd, Jeremy Barton, and John Karley. Max Wright finished sixth, followed by Ian McIntyre. Amanda Stoner and Bill Stoner failed to finish, with Mike Westwood not taking the green flag.
Virtue of finishing second in both features, Steve Trendell was crowned the Overall Memorial Night winner.

Ontario Pro Challenge
Mike Norris won the first feature ahead of Tim Norris, Larry Majuery, Blake Near, and Steve Gary. Rick Seely finished sixth, followed by Ken MacLennan, Bryan Stevanus, Devon Rayment, with Peter Hattin failing to finish.
Tim Norris won the second feature ahead of Bryan Stevanus, Mike Norris, Rick Seely, and Blake Near. John Dryden finished sixth, followed by Ken MacLennan and Phil Taylor, with Peter Hattin failing to finish and Devon Rayment not taking the green flag.
Virtue of placing second and first in the pair of features, Tim Norris was crowned the Overall Memorial Night winner.

This Saturday, September 14, Flamboro Speedway will play host to the final night of racing this season for the Lucas Oil Sportsman Cup Series, with their The Basement Store 100. It promises to be an action-packed night, as Kevin Gallant and Connor James enter the night tied for the top spot in the point standings.
Also on deck are Flamboro Speedway’s own Klotz Auto Repair & Engine Machine Shop Mini Stocks, McClurkin Properties Cambridge Pure Stocks, Pro 4 Modifieds, and Canadian Vintage Modifieds.
The pit gates open at 4pm, followed by the spectator gates at 5pm, with racing getting underway at 6:30pm.
