It’s no secret that all of the OSCAAR Modified teams have been working hard throughout the winter, and now it’s time for their dedication to shine as the first green flag will drop of the 2018 season at Sunset Speedway as part of the track’s Victoria Day weekend Spring Velocity special.
All eyes will be on Flamboro Speedway on June 10 when they host their first ever “STOCK” Car Nationals, featuring the pure stocks, mini stocks and super stocks.
After a great race to start off the 2018 campaign, the OSCAAR Hot Rod Series drivers will be back in action on May 19 and 20 at Sunset Speedway as part of the track’s Spring Velocity.
Alas, the snow has finally melted and the race season is about to be put into full gear. The OSCAAR Hot Rod Series will be the first of the three divisions to hit the track this year, and in the most fitting way possible as they will help Sunset Speedway celebrate their 50th anniversary.
They may have started with just three cars at some of the dates, but it was just the beginning of something special.
With a change in the tires and the new Great Lakes Concrete Series, there has been a heightened discussion about the Sauble Falls Tent and Trailer Park Late Models. It’s a welcome change of pace, considering fear was adamant the division would fade away in years to come.
It seems with each season, tracks and series continue to step up their game in trying to market to fans and attract racers to their speedways. 2018 is no exception to the rule, given the amount of big events already announced.
The initial list of 5 TO WATCH saw big names dropped that could possibly insert themselves in not only the conversation to win races, but possibly the championship. However, the discussion doesn’t end there. Here is part two.
Regardless, the schedules and events have been coming out quicker than ever, and it begs the question – where will we find you this summer, and what event are you looking forward the most? Feel free to offer your answers in the comments, but I will give you five events to think about.
