BRIGHTON, Ontario —- Starting on the front row, Jacob Booth found his way to the lead quickly and did not look back en route to winning The Fyre Place & Patio Shop OSCAAR Hot Rods presented by Bromley Automotive Ltd feature at Brighton Speedway.

After showing speed in his qualifier with a checkered flag, Booth found himself on the outside of the front row for The Car Guy green flag for the feature. He used the track position to his advantage, taking the lead right away. He then drove away from the field en route to making his first trip to Knightworks Design feature victory lane.

Steve Book, who won the other heat, ran up front throughout the feature en route to a runner-up finish with Ayden McNicol scoring a career-best third in his first dirt appearance. Ryan Cowan and Bobby Couisneau rounded out the top-five.

Daniel Hawn was sixth in front of Thomas Wunsch, Luke Gignac, Paul Senior, and Brad Lavalle. The sixth and seventh for Hawn and Wunsch marked a comeback in the feature after Hawn made contact with the rear bumper of Wunsch mid-race, sending Wunsch for a spin.

Unfortunately, Daniel’s older brother Tyler Hawn was the unlucky person in the incident, left with nowhere to go and receiving front-end damage which ended his feature early. Ben McPherson failed to take the green flag as a result of mechanical issues in his second series start.

The next race for The Fyre Place & Patio Shop OSCAAR Hot Rods presented by Bromley Automotive Ltd takes place at Sauble Speedway on Saturday, September 19. They will be joined by the JRS Auctions OSCAAR Super Late Models presented by Just Foam It and the Overkill Enterprise OSCAAR Modifieds.
