PETERBOROUGH, Ontario — Battling hard throughout each of the playoff events across Ontario paid off for Brandon Feeney, as he capped his year off with a top-10 at the Autumn Colours Classic.

He’d first make the trip to Flamboro Speedway on Sunday, October 2 for Frostoberfest, qualifying 13^th for the 50-lap feature. He’d drop back a couple spots to 16^th in the first half of the event, but did not give up as the laps clicked off on the board. The result was escaping a couple late-race incidents and ultimately crossing the finish line with a 14^th-place finish.

Returning back to his home track of Peterborough Speedway, he showed speed during qualifying on Friday, October 7 with a runner-up in his heat. He returned to the toughest 1/3 mile in the province to place seventh in his second qualifier on Saturday.

The results set him up to start mid-pack for the feature, with him running seventh with just three laps on the board. He used an early race restart to break into the top-five, running fourth with 10 laps left o nthe board. He battled hard through the final 10 laps, ultimately fading back to finish ninth.

Notably, he has scored 16 top-10 finishes in 2022, including five top-five’s over the last 12 events.
