PETERBOROUGH, Ontario — After showing speed all season at Sunset Speedway, Calvin Reesor took his talents on the road this playoff campaign, including a top-five at Peterborough Speedway’s Autumn Colours Classic.
The journey began with Frostoberfest at Flamboro Speedway, where he’d lock himself in the show with a top-20 qualifying effort. He’d avoid a spin on the opening lap to run 14th. He battled hard through the full 40 lap distance, ultimately crossing the finish line in 21st.
The following weekend took him to Peterborough Speedway, beginning with a third in the first heat. The speed carried into Saturday, as he picked up the checkered flag in his qualifier.
Starting up front for the 50-lap feature, he ran third through the early stages, dropping back a couple spots following an early race restart. He’d ultimately drop back to 10th by the halfway mark, avoiding contact ahead of him and making a couple late-race moves to cross the finish line in sixth. He was credited with a fifth after a fellow competitor was disqualified.
Notably, Calvin Reesor has scored 10 top-five’s in 15 races this season, including a runner-up in the Sunset Speedway Bone Stock Point Standings.
