INNISFIL, Ontario — Making his first trip back to Sunset Speedway since the beginning of the season, Cole Quinton proved the No. 18 Mustang was still full of speed.

Starting up front for the first heat, he would battle inside the top-three throughout, ultimately scoring a runner-up finish. He carried the momentum to the second qualifier, pacing a couple of the laps inside a tight battle for the top spot through the first half, crossing the finish line in second once again.

Starting deep in the feature, he wasted no time moving his forward, breaking into the top-five with just five laps on the board. He would continue to lay down solid laps and work on closing the gap to those ahead, moving up into fourth at the halfway mark. A lack of yellow flags saw the top-three spread out, with Quinton pushing to make up the gap.

He wasn’t able to make it all up, but did work his way forward a bit more to finish third in the feature.

It marks seven straight podium performances, and notably through 17 races this season, Quinton has now scored two victories and 16 top-five finishes.
