INNISFIL, Ontario — Going outside of his comfort zone for a weekend, Brandon Feeney battled hard all race long en route to a top-15 finish in the Qwick Wick Super Stock Series event at Sunset Speedway this past Saturday.
Feeney laid down a lap of 15.972 seconds to put him 17th on the grid for the start of the event. Taking the green flag from the ninth row, he would look to move his way forward in a quick matter. Although able to gain some ground, he found himself caught behind heavy traffic through the middle portion of the 50-lap event.
He did not give up, though, making some moves in the late stages of the race to cross the finish line with a 13th-place finish.
Notably, he has scored 11 top-10 finishes, including a pair of top-five’s over the last five events.
