INNISFIL, Ontario — It doesn’t seem to matter which track Jake Spencer-Walt visits this season, the speed is there as a pair of different tracks in a span of four days produced two top-five finishes.
Making his first start at Sauble Speedway last Wednesday, Spencer-Walt was fast off the trailer with a runner-up in his first heat. Starting close to the front, he was able to make his way forward, running as high as second at the halfway mark of the event. He battled hard to the checkered flag, crossing the finish line in fourth. Following the event, the winner was disqualified, giving him a third-place finish
Then on Saturday, Spencer-Walt returned back to Sunset Speedway, kicking off the evening with a fourth in the first heat. He showed more speed in the second qualifier, as evident by a third-place finish.
Come time for the feature, he was able to hang with the leaders throughout the event from the drop of the green to the checkered, though came up short in his bid for victory. Spencer-Walt ultimately crossed the checkered flag in the fourth position.
Despite traveling to three different tracks throughout the season, Spencer-Walt has now picked up seven top-five finishes in 2022.
