BY THE NUMBERS: Flamboro Speedway’s Mini Stocks

One of the most demanding schedules in the province to run is the Flamboro Speedway Mini Stocks, as it will have you at the track on a weekly basis putting 21 features in the book by year end.

Throughout the whole season, Gillian Hils was consistent with just one finish outside of the top-four, with a 10th on the opening night. Her persistence paid off en route to winning the championship.

Here are some other numbers to consider from the year.

1.6 was the best average finish of any driver, set by Will Gibbons across five starts

2.5 was the second-best average finish of any driver, set by Karl Sault, across 10 starts

2.76 was the best average finish of any driver to run the full schedule, set by Gillian Hils

3rd was fourth-best average finish of any driver, set by Dylan Sharpe, across eight starts

3.94 was the fifth-best average finish of any driver, set by Shawn Taylor, across 17 starts

feature victories for Taylor, Hils and Sharpe led all drivers this season. Notably, Sharpe scored all of his back-to-back.

4 drivers scored more than 10 feature top-five’s – Hils, Dale Millard, Cole Quinton and Taylor

5th was the sixth-best average finish of any driver, set by Millard, across 17 starts

drivers scored more than 15 feature top-10’s – Hils, Quinton, Mike Hooper, Millard, and Taylor

5.55 was the seventh-best average finish of any driver, set by Quinton, across 20 starts

drivers won a feature this season

10 of Gibbons opened the year by winning the first three features

14 drivers scored a feature top-five this season

18 of Quinton scored three feature victories en route to Rookie of the Year

20 feature top-five’s for Hils led all drivers this season

21 feature top-10’s for Hils led all drivers this season, giving her a perfect campaign

26 drivers scored a feature top-10 this season

30 drivers ran at least one feature this season

81 of Sault scored three feature victories to back-up his 2019 Championship
