PETERBOROUGH, Ontario — Running his first career Autumn Colours Classic, Calvin Reesor scored a top-five finish in the final results.
Reesor started off the weekend by placing eighth in his lone qualifying heat, setting him up to start 23rd for the 40-lap feature. He would begin to move his way forward immediately, running 13th with just 14 laps on the board. The passes continued, as he was able to make the move on Lap 27 to take over the sixth position. He would work his way up to fourth by the time the sixth caution came out for debris on the frontstretch at Lap 37.
Restarting on the second row with three laps to go, he crossed the finish line in the fifth spot, but was credited with fourth after a fellow competitor was disqualified in post-race technical inspection.
Reesor’s first season behind the wheel is supported by Barrie Nissan, OS Custom Exhaust & Performance, One Stop Muffler and Brake, Bullseye Axe Throwing, Barrie Fiberglass Pools and Spas, Barney’s Auto Electric, Auto Trim of Barrie, Greywood Custom Stairs and Railings, and Shepherds Docks.
