INNISFIL, Ontario — Battling hard throughout the feature, Luke Gignac would leave Sunset Speedway with a top-10 finish.

Gignac started off the night by placing fourth in his first qualifier, only for the second heat to be cancelled due to a lengthy wreck clean-up and impending weather.

Starting ninth in the feature, he would battle for eighth in the early spot, taking the position on the eighth lap. He then made the move for seventh on Lap 11, though would fade back to ninth over the course of the next few laps. He was able to make a late-race pass, crossing the finish line with an eighth-place finish.

ADAMS Motorsports will be back in action for the next Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC OSCAAR Modifieds presented by Just Foam It race at Sauble Speedway on Saturday, August 21. Over the last four races there, Gignac has scored three top-five’s, including a second in 2018.
