INNISFIL, Ontario — Despite things not going as planned overall, there were still some good takeaways from the night for Brandon Steele.
The No. 55 Pure Stock was fast from the drop of the initial green flag on Saturday night, as he won his first heat in domination. He then made his way through the field in the second qualifier to make it a clean sweep.
Starting on the front row for the feature, Steele grabbed the early advantage and did not look back, pacing the rest of the laps en route to crossing the finish line in first. Unfortunately, he would have the win taken away from him following technical inspection.
The team is aware of the technical infraction, and will work to ensure the car is legal and ready to go for the next night of competition at Sunset Speedway.
