MILLGROVE, Ontario — Despite showing more speed than previous trips to Flamboro Speedway, it was not enough this past Saturday as Karlie Wilman and Austyn Jennett just missed qualifying for the main event.

Jennett would be put in the second heat, pushing his car as hard as he could despite mechanical difficulties en route to finish 10th. Wilman, meanwhile, battled against handling issues in the fourth qualifier en route to placing eighth. Though with the track only taking the top-six from each heat for the feature, both SKLD Motorsports drivers were forced to run the b-main.

Starting in the back half of the b-main, they both tried to move forward, with Wilman placing ninth ahead of Jennett in 11th. Unfortunately, it would not be enough with only the top-six transferring to the main event.

The SKLD Motorsports team plans to go to work, in search of improvement for when they return to Flamboro Speedway for Frostoberfest in October.
