Paul Boundy Excited for Operation Green Flag at Flamboro Speedway

On a regular Saturday night, Paul Boundy is one of several super stocks you can find at Peterborough Speedway. Though on July 4, he will be one of the drivers in the field for Operation Green Flag at Flamboro Speedway.

“I am really looking forward to getting this race season underway,” he told SHORT TRACK MUSINGS. “I am excited to have a full field of top notch cars.”

The field definitely ranges in experience with track champions from various speedways in the province represented, to some of the young budding talent that are hoping to continue getting their feet wet in the division. From veterans like Tom Walters, Brad Collison, and Kevin Gallant – to young hot shoes like Cory McAllister, Coltin Everingham, and Gerrit Tiemersma.

“This is an awesome field of cars with some really talented drivers,” Boundy commented. “We have all had extra time to work on our cars so I am expecting a fast, competitive race.”

With having seen speed last season, Boundy hopes it will be enough to compete with the competitive field, and have a fun afternoon of racing.

“We were pretty happy with last years season,” he reflected. “We have a competitive car at all the tracks we went too just had a few mechanical hurdles to work through. We are ready to hit the track and turn some fast laps this season.”

While many were bored through the quarantine, Boundy says that wasn’t the case for him as he was busy working the entire time.

“My wife and daughter have had some renovations waiting for me as well so I made some time for those too,” he added. “No rest for the wicked!”
