INNISFIL, Ontario — The points lead is that much more bigger for Rick Spencer-Walt after winning the first feature on Saturday night at Sunset Speedway.
Although Hallyburton was able to get by Spencer-Walt for the lead on Lap 2, he was not able to pull away through the early stages before the race’s first caution at Lap 14 for Jeff Richard going around.
The restart would see the front two side-by-side for the lead, with Spencer-Walt clearing Hallyburton and pulling away with the advantage. Behind him, Kendra Adams would battle Benedict for third. Benedict was able to hold her off for the spot, all the way until the second caution at Lap 22 for Paul Maltese going around.
Although Spencer-Walt got a good restart, he was not able to pull away from Hallyburton, with Hallyburton all over his back bumper through the final laps.
