INNISFIL, Ontario — Brandon Passer has found the speed he needs, and it is showing on-track with his second straight feature victory at Sunset Speedway.
Dustyn Mombourquette picked up his second heat win of 2019 ahead of Ethan Constable, Brandon Passer, Frank Davey, and Coltin Everingham, Dan Archibald finished sixth, followed by Gerrit Tiemersma and Tom Walters.
Dan Archibald scored his first qualifier victory of the season ahead of Davey, Walters, Tiemersma, and Everingham. Constable finished sixth, followed by Mombourquette and Passer.
Come feature time, Passer wasted no time making his way forward, moving into the runner-up spot on Lap 12 after a battle back and forth with Mombourqutette. Passer would then catch Constable for the lead, making the pass for the top spot with eight laps to go. He would then lead the rest of way en route to scoring the victory.
For Brandon Passer, it marks his third victory of points competition, and fourth win overall after winning the Jukasa Motor Speedway Canadian Short Track Nationals qualifier last Sunday.
Ethan Constable finished second after leading the first 21 laps for his fifth top-five, with Frank Davey in third with his ninth top-five. Dustyn Mombourquette held on for a top-five finish in fourth, with Dan Archibald rounding out the top-five.
Coltin Everingham finished sixth for his ninth top-10, followed by Gerrit Tiemersma and Tom Walters.
