INNISFIL, Ontario — The top-10 finishes continued for Ron Quesnelle on Saturday night, as he’d battle through some adversity for a pair of them in the 35-lap features.
Qualifying 10th for the first feature, Quesnelle avoided an incident in the early stages, and battled hard through the rest of the feature en route to a seventh-place finish.
Starting seventh for the second feature, a competitor would try to make a three-wide move ahead of Quesnelle, stacking up the field, resulting in contact. It would not work out for the No. 57 Late Model, resulting in a flat right front tire that would bring Quesnelle to pit road under the first caution at Lap 2. Restarting from the tail of the field, he would begin to make his way back forward, though was sent to the back once again after narrowly avoiding a three-wide incident ahead of him on Lap 12.
Restarting from the back, he would begin to make his way back forward, running eighth with 20 laps on the board. He continued to move forward in the second half of the feature, ultimately crossing the finish line with a sixth-place finish.
With 10 top-10’s on the season in 11 features, including the season-best second, he sits fourth in the championship standings, 35 points out of third.
