Bone Stocks

WHERE TO WATCH: Saturday, June 15

Each week, Short Track Musings will be releasing a guide of where to catch some short track asphalt racing action across Ontario.

DELAWARE SPEEDWAY is in for a big night of action, as their show will be headlined by the ISMA Super Modifieds, joined by the Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC OSCAAR Modifieds and the track’s own Late Models. John Harper will be looking for his second straight modified victory, in hopes of taking over the points lead. He enters the event tied for the top spot with Chad Strawn and Kelly Balson.

FLAMBORO SPEEDWAY put together a dramatic last lap last weekend with the APC Series show, as Matt Pritiko spun J.R. Fitzpatrick on the last lap for the win. This weekend, it is about the track’s own Grisdale Race Products Late Models as they take center stage.

They’ll be joined by the Ray’s Towing & Recovery Super Stocks, Canadian Vintage Modifieds, Ontario Pro Challenge Series, and McClurkin Properties Cambridge Pure Stocks. Ontario Pro Challenge will also be looking to get their second night of the 2019 campaign in the books after seeing Peter Hattin score his first career victory in their season opener at Flamboro Speedway on May 11.

FULL THROTTLE MOTOR SPEEDWAY will hope to back-up last week’s big show with another solid night of competition. The divisions on deck for Saturday include Kid Stock, Junior Cup, Mini Truck, Thunder Truck, Mini Stock, Street Stock, Late Models, and Crazy Trains. There should be a lot of kids in attendance with it being free for those under the age of 10, with pre-race kid’s car rides scheduled.

GRAND BEND SPEEDWAY designated this date as “reserved rain date for all divisions if needed.” There has been no announcement made by the track as of the article posting as to whether it will be used.

PETERBOROUGH SPEEDWAY is set for an exciting night as they will be hosting a 50-lap feature for their bone stock division, as well as the Super Stock event being their Jukasa race qualifier; the super stock competitor who visits victory lane on Saturday will be locked into the Canadian Nationals super stock feature at Jukasa Motor Speedway. Also on tap for the night of competition is the Mini Stocks, Renegrade Trucks, and Ontario Legends Series.

The Ontario Legends Series will run their second night of competition for 2019 as Nick Ledson looks to go back-to-back.

SUNSET SPEEDWAY has been spreading a lot of discussion across social media following contact in a battle for the lead during the second Sauble Falls Tent and Trailer Park Late Model feature this past weekend. Those same drivers will be back in action on Saturday night with 50-lap feature, joined by the St. Onge Recreation Super Stocks, G.D. Coates Used Car Superstore Mini Stocks, Signs of Innovation Pure Stocks, and the T.Q. Can-Am Midgets.

Earlier this season, Darren Dryden continued his midget success by winning the first feature, followed by Ryan Fraser breaking his winless streak with a victory in the second.
