FRIDAY, MAY 24
Delaware Speedway’s second night of competition is on deck with the first night for their Late Models, which will be joined by the Trucks, V8 Stocks, and Bone Stocks. Kris Lawrence, Barry Watson and Tom Zagorodny swept the night for their respective divisions.
SATURDAY, MAY 25
Flamboro Speedway will be hosting their first of three rounds for the Grisdale Triple Crown Tournament on Saturday night. J.R. Fitzpatrick enters the weekend as the favorite after sweeping the last night of Grisdale Late Model competition at the Hamilton, Ontario based oval. They will be joined by the Klotz Auto Repair & Engine Machine Shop Mini Stocks and McClurkin Properties Cambridge Pure Stocks. Thus far, Karl Sault and Jake Watson have been swapping victories for the mini stock class.
Full Throttle Motor Speedway has a full slate of action on tap for Saturday night with the Kid Stocks, Young Gun Late Models, Jr Late Models, Thunder Trucks, Fun Stocks, Mini Stocks, Street Stocks, and All Muscle Sportsman divisions. FTMS’ Mini Stock class has seen a variety of winners the past couple weeks, with three different drivers reaching victory lane.
They will also be joined by the Outlaw Midgets, with their second event of the 2019 campaign. Nigel Buttivant won their season opener on Saturday night at Sunset Speedway after holding off veterans Adam Carrothers and Jody Bound.
Grand Bend Speedway will be running their Jr. B Sprints, Jr. Late Models, Jr. A Sprints, Jr Trucks, and Pro Trucks. Their second night of the season was successful last week with three first-time feature winners.
Peterborough Speedway’s second night of competition will be highlighted by a 50-lap Mini Stock feature. Ember Junkin opened the season in victory lane by winning the opening night feature, but she was challenged through the late stages by both Nolan Gould and Kent Missions.
Also on deck for Saturday night at the patch is the season opener for the Living Lighting OSCAAR Pro Sprints. Daniel Hawn will be looking to repeat his success en route to last year’s championship, but that’s only if he can hold off the charge from youngsters Jaden Riddell and Tyler Cullen, among others.
Ontario Pro Challenge will also be looking to get their second night of the 2019 campaign in the books after seeing Peter Hattin score his first career victory in their season opener at Flamboro Speedway on May 11.
The show will also include action from the Super Stocks and Bone Stocks, after watching Dan Archibald and Kris Khan win on opening night, respectively.
After seeing their Spring Velocity weekend cut short by weather, Sunset Speedway‘s regulars will be hoping to get in a night of competition after a thrilling season opener on Sunday, May 11. That night saw Dwayne Baker make a dramatic last lap pass on both Rick Spencer-Walt and Nick Goetz to score the victory in the Sauble Falls Tent and Trailer Park Late Model division.
The St. Onge Recreation, G.D. Coates Used Car Superstore, and Signs of Innovation Bone Stocks are also on deck to be in action on Saturday night. The Bone Stocks will be looking for their third straight different feature winner after watching Joe Dunlop and Kyle Neumeister win the first two events.
