Battling hard against the best drivers in the province, Doug Wilman scored a 20th-place finish on Sunday at Sunset Speedway.
Taking part in the Mini Stock 50-lap invitational at Sunset Speedway, Eric Yorke picked up the victory while Lisa DeLeeuw turned in a respectable performance in the full size grid.
He may have experienced the worst luck through Friday’s practice and Saturday’s qualifying with mechanical issues, but everything worked itself out in time for him to be crowned the 2019 Canadian Legends National Champion.
The fans at Sunset Speedway on Sunday were treated to a show, with Brandon Passer and Frank Davey going back and forth throughout the event. Ultimately, when the race was called due to weather, it’d be Passer picking up the win.
