In the first OSCAAR Hot Rod Series event at Jukasa Motor Speedway, it’d be a familiar face taking home the checkered flag.
It was a familiar face to fans at Kawartha Speedway in victory lane, but it was no easy feat as Dan Archibald had to come from the back to score the win on Friday night.
In a battle that went all the way down to the checkered flag, it’d be Tyler Hawn edging out Dan Archibald for the OSCAAR Hot Rod Series victory at Sunset Speedway.
After a great race to start off the 2018 campaign, the OSCAAR Hot Rod Series drivers will be back in action on May 19 and 20 at Sunset Speedway as part of the track’s Spring Velocity.
If the season opener is any indication, it’s going to be a great year of competitive OSCAAR Hot Rod Series racing. At the end of the first event, though, a familiar face was in victory lane as Tyler Hawn scored the win.
Alas, the snow has finally melted and the race season is about to be put into full gear. The OSCAAR Hot Rod Series will be the first of the three divisions to hit the track this year, and in the most fitting way possible as they will help Sunset Speedway celebrate their 50th anniversary.
With the winter thaw taking longer than anticipated, Sunset Speedway officials announced their season opener has been moved to May 5, 2018. The OSCAAR Hot Rod Series is set to partake in the event to help celebrate the track’s 50th anniversary.
They may have started with just three cars at some of the dates, but it was just the beginning of something special.
After a great run to close out the inaugural season, it’s no secret that Nick Clarke is one of the OSCAAR Hot Rod Series drivers ready to get back to the track.
