After coming up just shy of visiting Sunset Speedway’s elusive victory lane over the past couple of years, Rick Spencer-Walt made it happen on Saturday night by leading flag-to-flag en route to victory.
Over the past couple years, Rick Spencer-Walt had come close to cracking Sauble Falls Tent and Trailer Park Late Model victory lane at Sunset Speedway, but always just fell shy. That tune changed on Saturday night when he led flag-to-flag en route to scoring the feature victory, becoming the fourth straight different winner in four races this season.
As the leaders came together, Jordan Howse snuck by them both to pick up his second straight St. Onge Recreation Super Stock feature victory to open 2017.
After taking the lead on a late race restart, Doug Butler held off Andy Kamrath en route to scoring the victory in the Signs of Innovation Mini Stock feature at Sunset Speedway.
