PETERBOROUGH, Ontario — Making his first appearance behind the wheel of a racecar during an event in a couple of years, Danny Benedict dominated The Fyre Place & Patio Shop OSCAAR Hot Rods presented by Bromley Automotive feature sponsored by Lakeside Mobile Tire Inc at Peterborough Speedway’s Autumn Colours Classic weekend brought to you by The Car Guy Auto Service.

Benedict was fast through qualifying with a victory in each of the heats, and kept the luck going through the re-draw in pulling the number one starting spot. From the drop of The Car Guy Auto Service green flag, he was able to stretch out his advantage over his competition en route to pacing all 40 laps to Knightworks Design victory lane. It marks the first career feature victory for Benedict in his debut with the series.

Connor James’ return to OSCAAR was also met with success as he ran inside the top-three all race long to a third-place finish ahead of rookie Daniel Hawn, John Gaunt, and Jacob Booth. Steve Book put together a strong performance, battling throughout the feature to a sixth ahead of Kenny McNicol.

Tyler Hawn had a solid start to his feature as he made his way up to the runner-up spot through the early laps until a flat right front tire sent him down pit road on Lap 26. Restarting at the tail end of the field, he was able to make his way forward for an eighth-place finish. The performance was enough as he was crowned the 2026 The Fyre Place & Patio Shop OSCAAR Hot Rods presented by Bromley Automotive Ltd Champion.

Thomas Wunsch and Adrian Foster completed the top-10 ahead of Robin Jongen, Luke Gignac, Ayden McNicol, Ryan Cowan, and Brian Wilson.

Heat victories went to Danny Benedict (x2), Daniel Hawn, and Jacob Booth.
