LONDON, Ontario — Showing speed through qualifying and the feature, Lane Zardo dominated en route to winning his first career The Fyre Place & Patio Shop OSCAAR Hot Rods presented by Bromley Automotive Ltd feature at Delaware Speedway.

Starting up front after a solid qualifying heat, Zardo wasted no time finding his way to the lead on Lap 7 after The Car Guy green flag. He found himself heavily challenged through a couple restarts, including a side-by-side battle with Tyler Hawn, but was able to fend off everyone. The advantage spread out through the second half of the feature, cruising en route to Knightworks Design victory lane.

Jacob Booth ran inside the top-five throughout the duration of the full feature en route to a runner-up, while Tyler Hawn rebounded for a third despite having to restart tail of the field twice due to a pair of spins. Thomas Wunsch and Trevor Thompson completed the top-five.

Steve Book challenged for the lead on a late-race restart, but contact while battling three-wide for second resulted in him fading back to a sixth. Drew Richardson was seventh ahead of Lucas Chapman, Jay Doerr, and Ayden McNicol.

Dalen Martin ran up front inside the top-five until a spin on Lap 28, followed by contact with McNicol ended his night early with an 11th. Daniel Hawn placed 12th after pulling pit side on Lap 21, while Tom Walters rounded out the field. Walters showed speed and battled inside the top-five early until contact on the frontstretch resulted in him going around and hitting the inside wall.

Heat wins went to Steve Book and Tom Walters.

The Fyre Place & Patio Shop OSCAAR Hot Rods presented by Bromley Automotive Ltd are back on-track at Flamboro Speedway for the Bill Zardo Memorial as part of Frostoberfest weekend on Saturday, October 3.
