LONDON, Ontario — Whether it be late-race battles for positions, or a championship coming down to the final laps of the event, Delaware Speedway has always put on a good show each time OSCAAR has been there.

That’s why it is no surprise the Overkill Enterprise OSCAAR Modifieds are excited for their event this coming weekend on Friday, September 25.

Here are some of the drivers to watch this weekend.

Rick Burbridge may be a modified rookie, but you cannot count him out as he has shown speed at each event this season, as evident by no finishes off the podium, including a runner-up at Peterborough Speedway in August. He placed third at Delaware in June.

Matt Haufe has been able to quickly find success with the modifieds in visiting Scott Reinhart Trailer Sales Ltd victory lane at Peterborough Speedway. He showed potential in his first trip to the half-mile with a seventh-place finish.

Third generation racer Eric McLean has made the most of his rookie campaign, with a four-pack of top-10 finishes including an eighth at Delaware in June.

Daryl Henwood has held a checkered flag this year as he was one of the heat winners at Peterborough Speedway in August. The feature finishes have also been there for the past Canadian Vintage Modified competitor, including a season-best sixth at Delaware in June.

Jason Keen has shown speed the last three races with no finishes worse than sixth, which adds to his stretch of success at Delaware with a fourth and a pair of fifths in his last three appearances.

Bryan Batty hopes to find the same success which led him to 21 top-10 finishes in 33 previous appearances. Although this past June saw him run into bad luck at Delaware, he placed third there last fall.

2025 series champion Steve Trendell was fast last year at Delaware, as evident a trio of top-fives in his last three appearances. He will hope to find his way to Scott Reinhart Trailer Sales victory lane for the second time in his first career, after having scored just one finish outside the top-five in his last 12 series appearances.

Brent McLean is no stranger to OSCAAR victory lane, as evident by having won five times throughout his career. In total, he has scored 46 top-10’s in 58 series appearances, including a 10th-place finish at Sauble.

Dale Reinhart comes into the driver as the one to beat, based on his recent trips to victory lane. He won the points season finale at Delaware last season, and picked up another checkered flag in June. Notably, he has not finished outside the top-five in his last 11 series appearances.

Wally Wilson may have missed the action at Sauble, but his fill-in Coltin Everingham did pretty good in picking up a heat win. Now Wilson jumps back behind the wheel at a track where he has lots of experience from running their home-track program, and has a pair of top-10’s in his last three appearances at the half-mile.

Marshall Schrenk will make his first appearance with the series in 2026, but do not count him out as he won the home-track championship for the modifieds this season.

Amanda Balson proved she will be someone to watch through the end of the season in picking up the checkered flag at Sauble Speedway this past weekend.
