PREVIEW: OSCAAR Super Late Models at Delaware Speedway

LONDON, Ontario — It is time for the speeds this season to reach a new height as the quickest pavement asphalt cars in Ontario are set for the biggest track of the season.

The JRS Auctions OSCAAR Super Late Models presented by Just Foam It will tackle the half-mile of Delaware Speedway on Friday, August 21, in an event presented by McColl Racing Enterprises.

Here are some of the drivers that will be in the field when The Car Guy Auto Service green flag flies.

Dario Capirchio has run solidly at Delaware Speedway in the past, scoring a top-10 finish last year at the half-mile. He scored his first top-10 of the 2026 campaign at Peterborough Speedway with a 10th.

Trevor Monaghan has proven to be fast in his return to Super Late Model competition, scoring a pair of top-10’s, highlighted by a sixth-place finish at Flamboro Speedway.

T.J Edwards has shown speed in his sophomore season, as evident by scoring a heat victory and sixth-place finish at Peterborough Speedway. He was fast last season on the half-mile with a fourth-place finish.

Brandon Passer has found success at Delaware Speedway as evident by a ninth-place finish a couple years ago. He picked up the Shepherd Media Fast Qualifier Award at Sauble Speedway to kick off the 2026 campaign and backed it up with a runner-up at Peterborough Speedway.

Mike Miller has been successful at Delaware in the past, as evident by a fifth-place finish last year to go alongside a seventh from a couple years back. He will hope to keep the momentum rolling following a ninth at Peterborough Speedway.

Glenn Watson enters this weekend with momentum on his side after scoring a dominating victory at Peterborough Speedway. He knows his way around the half-mile, as evident by a runner-up in 2023.

Dustyn Mombourquette is beginning to find his groove in his sophomore campaign as evident by a fourth-place finish at Peterborough Speedway.

Dwayne Baker is proving the time away from the Super Late Models has not fazed him as he was able to score a fifth-place finish at Peterborough Speedway.

Current series points leader Glenn Styres has been the mark of consistency through the first two events in 2026 with a seventh at Flamboro Speedway, followed by a fifth-place finish at Peterborough Speedway.
