Parker Traves Dominates Canadian Legend Car Series Spring Velocity Feature

INNISFIL, Ontario — Parker Traves kept things rolling at Sunset Speedway, scoring the Canadian Legend Car Series Spring Velocity victory in dominating fashion.

Nick Portt won the first heat ahead of Cole McFadden, Dawson Drimmie, Zach Latimer, Glenn Morris, the 21, Matt Ledson, and Joe Sherman.

Parker Traves was victorious in the second qualifier in front of Jade Franklin, Jordan Latimer, Paul Perik, Josh Inglis, and Matt Boyes.

Unfortunately, the third round of qualifying did not start how Zach Latimer wanted as he stalled during pace laps. Dawson Drimmie picked up the checkered flag followed by Portt, McFadden, Morris, the 21, Ledson, and Sherman.

The fourth heat had a quick yellow flag when Boyes spun in turn three. Parker Traves went for the daily double ahead of Jordan Latimer, Inglis, Franklin, Perik, Boyes, and Keaton Pipe.

Everyone’s eyes focused at the front of the field from the drop of the green flag, knowing it’d be a battle for the win. That began between Parker Traves and Dawson Drimmie, with the latter trying to do what he could to make the pass. He’d make his bid on Lap 6, coming up short as he instead went around in turns one and two for the yellow flag.

Parker Traves got away on the restart, holding serve on Lap 10 ahead of Jordan Latimer, Nick Portt, Cole McFadden, and Jade Franklin. The top-five remained the same until the next caution at the halfway mark for Matt Ledson going around in turns one and two.

Parker Traves got a good restart, leading the rest of the way ahead of Jordan Latimer and Nick Portt. Dawson Drimmie rebounded from his mistake for fourth, while Cole McFadden rounded out the top-five.
