MILLGROVE, Ontario — Looking to get some laps under his belt ahead of the APC Auto Parts United Late Models of Ontario season opener, Rick Spencer-Walt made the trek to Flamboro Speedway on Saturday night.

The night did not start off smoothly, with the car being a handful through the practice sessions. However, the Spencer-Walt Motorsports immediately went to work to make changes ahead of the night’s action.

The first feature saw Rick Spencer-Walt run inside the top-five through all 30 laps, making his way up into third just past the halfway mark. He tried to track down to the top-two, though was unable to before the checkered flag.

The second affair was an invert of the first, with Spencer-Walt starting deeper in the field. That did not deter the efforts, as he was able to make his way forward, taking over the seventh spot at the halfway mark. He continued to push hard, taking over sixth with 10 laps to go where he’d remain to the checkered flag.

Spencer-Walt will be back behind the wheel of the No. 31w Late Model on May 20, 2023 at Sunset Speedway for the APC Auto Parts United Late Model Series of Ontario season opener.
