INNISFIL, Ontario — Making another trip up to Sunset Speedway, Will Quarrie made it worth his while with a trip to victory lane in the Jr Late Model feature.
The afternoon started off with Keegan Moat spinning out of the lead in the first heat, while Laila Walser picked up the checkered flag in front of Jake Spencer-Walt, Wyatt Sprung, Moat, Del Freiburger, and Morgan Moore.
Will Quarrie won the second qualifier ahead of the 05, Alyssa Burnette, the 37x, and Cole Kamrath.
Laila Walser went for the daily double in front of Spencer-Walt, Moat, Sprung, Freiburger, and Moore.
Quarrie did the same in his qualifier ahead of Kamrath, the 05, the 37x, and Burnette.
Come feature time, Laila Walser led the field to green in front of Will Quarrie, Jake Spencer-Walt, the 05, Wyatt Sprung, Keegan Moat, Cole Kamrath, Alyssa Burnett, the 37x, Del Freiburger, and Morgan Moore.
Laila Walser grabbed the early lead in front of Quarrie, as Spencer-Walt battled Sprung for third, but the caution came out on the opening lap for Moat going around in turn four. The restart would see Quarrie go around for a loop of his own in turn two.
Walser got a good restart as Spencer-Walt moved into second, with Kamrath and Sprung side-by-side for third. Kamrath got the spot, only to be challenged by Quarrie a lap later. Quarrie took over third on Lap 6, with the third caution a lap later for Moat and the 05 in turn four.
Will Quarrie got a good restart, taking over the lead in a three-wide move to lead the rest of the way to victory in front of Laila Walser, Jake Spencer-Walt, Cole Kamrath, and Wyatt Sprung. Del Freiburger finished sixth, followed by Alyssa Burnette, Keegan Moat, 37x, and Morgan Moore.
