INNISFIL, Ontario — After posting the quickest lap in qualifying, Dustyn Mombourquette put the seal of approval on his championship campaign with a dominating feature performance.
Dustyn Mombourquette laid down a lap of 14.425 seconds in front of Kendra Adams (14.780), Paul Maltese (14.827), Daniel Montanari (14.911), Allan Inglis (15.346), and Ryan D’Antimo (16.173).
Come feature time, he would pull out to an advantage, continue to stretch it out over the duration of the 35-lap event, ultimately en route to picking up the checkered flag. Kendra Adams picked up a runner-up finish, while Paul Maltese out-battled Daniel Montanari for a third. Allan Inglis and Ryan D’Antimo would round out the field.
With multiple trips to victory lane over the summer, combined with consistency, Dustyn Mombourquette was crowned the 2022 Sunset Speedway Limited Late Model Championship.
