Paul Boundy Comes Back For Podium Performance at Peterborough Speedway

PETERBOROUGH, Ontario — While the truck may say Superman on the outside, that seemed the mantra for Paul Boundy to follow on Saturday night at Peterborough Speedway after an impressive rebound.

Boundy started off the night by showing speed, pacing the first half of his qualifying heat, before an incident saw him drop to the tail with six laps on the board. He would try to move his way back forward, crossing the finish line in seventh.

The bad luck carried over to the second heat, with an incident on Lap 2 seeing Boundy have to pull off the track early.

Starting deep in the field for the feature, he would look to move his way forward early, laying down his quickest lap of the event on fifth trip around. He would work his way up to fourth by the halfway mark, continuing to push forward to run as high as second. The challenge for the runner-up spot would not last, though, as he’d fade back a bit, crossing the finish line in third.

Boundy is proud to be supported by Boundy Roofing, Mark Rainford Auto Centre, Port Perry Salvage INC, Alma Mechanical, Cobourg East Campground, Orono Country Cafe, Signworks Port Perry, Midas Cobourg, Rona Port Hope and Cobourg, Wheelhouse W10 Uniform Co., Krown Whitby, and Circa 1818 for the 2022 campaign.
