Outlaw Midgets Sauble Speedway Preview

SAUBLE BEACH, Ontario — It’s about to be a fun-filled, busy weekend for the Outlaw Midgets presented by Canadian Tire Innisfil as they return to Sauble Speedway on August 13.

Mike Bradley will enter this weekend ranked fourth in the standings, following seven top-nine finishes including a pair of thirds. As a whole, the success is no surprise with having scored 18 top-five’s in the past 22 races. There’s no reason he cannot carry the success into this weekend, having scored a top-five in his last four appearances including a victory.

Larry Lawson, meanwhile, has scored four runner-ups and a fifth in the seven races throughout 2022. Notably, though, he still has just seven finishes worse than fourth in the last 13 series events. He enters this weekend ranked second in the points, and hopes to find the same success that led him to three podiums in his last four beach appearances.

Rob Harrison may be a dark horse to watch, as it seems he gets faster with each bit of experience behind the wheel. It shined through with a season-best fourth at Grand Bend Speedway, and a pair of fifths at the beach last year.

Jamie Kay has had rocky luck to start the year, scoring three top-six finishes but also finding himself involved a wreck. He hopes to turn his luck around this weekend, following a ninth and eighth at the beach in 2021.

Kevin Spiez hopes to keep the momentum rolling as he has scored six top-10 finishes, including a pair of fifths in the most recent pair of events. Zach Millman hopes to turn things around, after failing to finish the most recent event at Peterborough Speedway.

Rob McCall has been fast to start the 2022 campaign, scoring four podiums through his four appearances to date. That gives him five top-seven’s to start the year, and we know he can get the job done and reach victory lane.

Jessica James arguably enters this weekend with the most momentum, having scored nine victories in the last 11 races, including the past eight straight.

Mikey Homewood’s return to the tour has been solid, as he scored a season-best seventh at Sunset Speedway for his six top-10’s in seven races. Notably, he has placed sixth and eighth in his last features at Sauble Speedway.

Dan Kviring hopes to keep the momentum rolling after scoring four consecutive top-10 finishes, including a seventh at Sauble Speedway.

Dave Bradley proved he still has the same speed which led him to victory lane in 2021, as evident by three top-five’s in four races, including a season-best second at Sauble Speedway.

Kayla Semple has been getting faster since her debut in the series, gaining experience on a weekly basis. She will hope to build upon her season-best eighth at Grand Bend Speedway, giving her four consecutive top-10 finishes.

Dan Bound has been impressive since joining the tour in 2022, scoring his third straight top-five at Sunset Speedway with a runner-up.

Be sure to catch these stars on-track at Sauble Speedway.
