INNISFIL, Ontario — Racing up front all afternoon and leading some laps, Calvin Reesor scored a podium finish at Sunset Speedway’s Spring Velocity on Sunday.

Reesor showed speed from the first green flag of the afternoon by scoring a third-place finish. He then backed it up with another third in the second qualifier.

He was fast from the start of the feature, battling for the top spot on the opening lap, and capturing it on Lap 5. He was able to lead until the first caution flag at Lap 10 for a competitor losing a tire.

Restarting in the top spot, he fought side-by-side for the lead for multiple lap before ultimately fading back to the second spot. He then continued battling through the remaining portion of the feature, edging out his fellow competitor to score second.

It marks Reesor’s second straight podium performance following a third on opening night.

Reesor Racing will return to Sunset Speedway this coming weekend.
