Cole Quinton Keeps Top-Five’s Rolling at Sunset Speedway

INNISFIL, Ontario — Showing speed once again throughout the afternoon at Sunset Speedway, Cole Quinton scored a top-five finish in the feature.

Quinton was fast from the drop of the initial green flag, placing third in his first heat after starting on the front row. Relegated to deep in the field for the second qualifier, he was able to make his way forward to finish fourth.

Starting seventh in the feature, he began to make his way forward in getting ready to challenge for the top-five. The move forward would pay off, moving up to sixth by Lap 6, and then breaking into the top-five four laps later.

As the race broke into the second half, Quinton found himself some breathing room with a healthy advantage ahead of those behind him, though enough to close on the front runners. He would make a late-race pass when a fellow competitor had issues, coming across the finish line in fourth.

It marks his third straight top-five following a pair of thirds.

Quinton will look to push hard to improve a couple more positions this weekend as he returns back to Sunset Speedway. It promises to be an action-packed weekend as part of Spring Velocity.
