INNISFIL, Ontario — Different track this week, but same story for Cole Quinton as he showed speed behind the wheel of the No. 18 Mustang en route to another podium performance.
Quinton started off the evening well at Sunset Speedway, scoring the victory in his first qualifying heat after pacing all 10 laps. He carried the momentum into the second qualifier, scoring a solid third-place result.
Starting upfront of the 25-lap feature, Quinton battled amongst the leaders through the first half, keeping himself inside the top-two positions through the first 10 laps. Ultimately, he would fade back to third on Lap 11, but kept putting together solid laps, including his best of the night on Lap 19, as he tried to fight back.
Continuing to battle hard paid off, as he was able to cross the finish line with a third-place finish. It marks his second straight podium after a third at Flamboro Speedway last weekend.
Quinton will look to push hard to improve a couple more positions this weekend as he returns back to Sunset Speedway. It promises to be an action-packed night with the NASCAR Pinty’s Series also in action.
