INNISFIL, Ontario — Calvin Reesor is already showing why the rookie lessons of last season are set to pay off this year, as he began his sophomore campaign at Sunset Speedway in victory lane on Saturday night.

Reesor was fast from the first drop of the green flag, scoring the victory in the first qualifying race of the season. He then backed it up with another victory in the second heat despite starting on the second row.

Carrying the momentum into the feature, he ran up front amongst the leaders throughout the duration of the 20-lap feature. Putting down his quickest lap of the night on the second circuit, he ran in the runner-up position through the opening stages, before fading back to third on Lap 5.

He continued to battle hard the rest of the event, ultimately scoring a third-place feature finish to kick off 2022.

Reesor Racing will get a weekend off, before returning back to Sunset Speedway on May 22 as part of Spring Velocity weekend.
