MILLGROVE, Ontario — Battling hard in both features on Saturday at Flamboro Speedway, Cole Quinton scored a pair of top-10 finishes.
The driver of the No. 18 Mustang started off the night on the front row for the first feature, holding down the runner-up spot through the first half of the event. Even after posting his quickest lap of the race on Lap 9, it would not be enough, as he’d be passed for the spot, crossing the finish line in third-place.
Starting further back in the second feature, Quinton would push forward and try to make up track position, finding himself up to fourth in the early stages. He’d keep battling despite falling back to sixth through the middle portion of the event, ultimately being scored eighth at the checkered flag.
The consistency through the season, including the trips to victory lane, all came together to see Cole Quinton awarded the 2021 Flamboro Speedway Rookie of the Year Award, and a second-place finish in the final points standings.
He has one more event left on the calendar this year at Flamboro, set to chase after an igloo in the Frostoberfest Mini Stock invitational on Saturday, October 2.
Quinton is proud to be sponsored by Wheeler Construction, Just Foam It, Spira Fire Protection, JT Excavating, Stage it with Style, Elmsa Steel, Sunvale Homes, Source for Sports, Lucas Oil, Wix Filters, Highgrade Roofing, Pita Pit Orangeville, Nick’s Journey, and Bob’s Ice Cream on-board the No. 18 Mustang.
