INNISFIL, Ontario — Battling at two different tracks on a pair of separate days in three races, Cole Quinton’s worst finish was a sixth.
Starting on pole for the first of two 20-lap features at Flamboro Speedway, Cole Quinton was consistent with his lap times each time around, holding a steady advantage to take the checkered flag by 1.25 seconds ahead of the field.
The invert would see him start fifth, with Quinton moving up into fourth in the first five laps. He would continue to push forward, taking over the third spot at the halfway mark. With a lack of cautions, he was unable to catch the front runners, scoring a third-place finish.
Come Sunday at Sunset Speedway, Quinton would start 26th in the Fall Velocity 35-lap feature due to missing qualifying with running Flamboro on Saturday for regular points. He would begin to move forward, running 18th as of the first caution at Lap 10, breaking into the top-10 by the second yellow flag at Lap 20.
Restarting on the fifth row, he moved his way up to sixth, staying there until the forth caution at Lap 27. He would get a good restart, hanging with some of the quickest cars in the province, though was unable to gain more ground, finishing sixth.
Quinton will be back at Flamboro Speedway on Saturday, September 25 for the final points night of the 2021 campaign.
