INNISFIL, Ontario — With a consistent season full of checkered flags in the books, Matt Boyes put the perfect cap on his year at Sunset Speedway with a victory in the Bone Stock Fall Velocity feature.

Phil Givens won the first qualifier in front of Jordan Owen, Calvin Reesor, Aundrea Lusk, John Bird, Cheyenne Reed-Charles, Alex Stewart, and Nicole Stewart.

The second heat started off with contact, as Andrew Shilling got sideways, making contact with Kris Khan in the process. Craig Cole picked up the checkered flag ahead of Boyes, Brandon Steele, Austyn Jennett, Shilling, and Jack Bird. Unfortunately, Karlie Wilman failed to take the green flag due to mechanical issues, while Connor Parkes found himself on pit road mid-race.

Phil Givens went for the daily double in front of John Bird, Owen, Reesor, Reed-Charles, Lusk, Alex Stewart, and Nicole Stewart.

Matt Boyes swept his qualifiers ahead of Khan, Steele, Shilling, Cole, and Jack Bird, with Jennett running into mechanical issues.

Come feature time, Andrew Shilling started pole ahead of Calvin Reesor, John Bird, Brandon Steele, Craig Cole, Jordan Owen, Matt Boyes, Phil Givens, Kris Khan, Austyn Jennett, Aundrea Lusk, Cheyenne Reed-Charles, Jack Bird, Alex Stewart, and Nicole Stewart,

Andrew Shilling grabbed the early advantage in front of Reesor, Steele, Cole, Givens, Boyes, Bird and Owen. Owen would then be challenged by Khan for eighth on Lap 3, as Jennett rounded out the top-10. Givens began his climb forward, getting alongside Cole for fourth on Lap 4, and completing the pass a lap later as Boyes looked to follow him through.

As Shilling continued to lead, Steele would get alongside Reesor for second on Lap 7, completing the pass a lap later as Givens and Boyes battled for fourth. Givens got the spot, immediately challenging Reesor for third.

Steele would track down Shilling for the lead, boxing him in behind the lap car, which allowed Brandon Steele to take over the top spot on Lap 13, bringing Boyes and Givens through over the next two laps as Reesor looked to follow. Reesor took over fourth on Lap 17 ahead of Shilling, as Bird ran sixth in front of Khan, Steele, Owen, Jennett, Lusk, Reed-Charles, and Alex Stewart. Khan’s climb continued as he moved into fifth ahead of Shilling and Bird.

The battle for the lead heated up on Lap 23, with Boyes getting alongside Steele for the top spot.

Matt Boyes completed the pass, leading the final two laps en route to scoring the victory in front of Brandon Steele, Phil Givens, Calvin Reesor, and Kris Khan. John Bird finished sixth, followed by Craig Cole, Andrew Shilling, Jordan Owen, and Austyn Jennett.
