INNISFIL, Ontario — Dominating the main event, Andrew Shilling came close to calling himself a feature winner on Sunday at Sunset Speedway.
Shilling placed fourth in his first qualifier, before capturing the victory in the second.
Starting on pole for the feature, he would take advantage immediately, stretching his advantage to the field over the course of the long run. Though as the race neared it’s conclusion, he found himself tied up in lap traffic, allowing second-place to close the gap. Phil Givens was able to make the pass with two laps to go, resulting in Shilling crossing the finish line with a runner-up finish.
