INNISFIL, Ontario — Getting back behind the wheel of his Jr Late Model, Jake Spencer-Walt showed speed and led laps all throughout the night on Sunday at Sunset Speedway.

He started off the night first in his qualifier, only to spin out of the top spot on Lap 1. Restarting at the back, he drove his way back to the front, unfortunately making the contact with the leader and going for another spin. He was credited with a seventh.

He would drive his way to the front in the second heat, only for contact once again battling for the lead with two laps to go. He was credited with a sixth.

He started second in the feature, only to go for a spin on the opening lap. He would get a good restart, making a three-wide move for third, though unfortunately found trouble once again with another spin on Lap 8.  He would make his way back up to third, though a challenge for second saw him go around again.

He quickly was able to work his way back up to second, falling back to third on Lap 12. He would avoid a spin ahead of him a lap later, though, to retake the runner-up spot. Unfortunately, his run came to an end a couple laps later with the car slowing on the frontstretch. He was credited with a sixth-place finish.

Spencer-Walt will take what he learned from the night, set to rebound with a strong run at Fall Velocity at Sunset Speedway.
