PETERBOROUGH, Ontario — Driving two different types of vehicles on Saturday night at Peterborough Speedway, Brandon Feeney scored a pair of top-10 finishes.
He started off the night behind the wheel of the Late Model placing fourth in his first qualifier, though found an issue with the car being stuck in gear and pulling the shifter out of its mount. He would miss the second heat making the necessary repairs, and thought it was ready to go.
However, as he went to go, he would find out there was no clutch and he’d be stuck in high gear. Feeney made the most of the situation, driving his way up to the seventh spot from the back of the field. There was then be a wreck ahead of him on Lap 15, and when he tried to get the car back running afterwards, it would pop out of gear, ending his night early. He was credited with a 10th-place finish.
Behind the wheel of his father Michael Feeney’s Renegrade Truck, he would place sixth in the lone qualifier. He carried the momentum into the feature and despite being down in power, he was able to score a fifth-place finish.
