PETERBOROUGH, Ontario — Pacing his first laps behind the wheel of a Legend car, Brandon Feeney showed speed all weekend en route to placing 11th in the final rundown for the Canadian Legend Nationals.
Feeney started off the weekend on Saturday by finishing ninth in both of his heats, followed by a strong run in the feature. Notably, he was able to lead his first laps in the qualifying events.
On Sunday, he ran 12th in the early stages of the 30-lap Dash, dropping back to 13th after an early race restart. He continued to battle hard through the second half of the event, avoiding a couple incidents to finish 12th.
Starting 15th for the main event, he would break into the top-10 following an early race restart, though dropped back to 13th through the middle of the event. He stayed focused through the 40-lap affair, crossing the finish line with an 11th-place finish. He would be scored fourth in class.
