INNSFIL, Ontario — All the weeks of stressing over issues with the car, combined with a bunch of hours in shop replacing parts have paid off for Calvin Reesor as evident by his performance on Saturday night at Sunset Speedway.
The rookie driver started off the night on a high, finishing runner-up in his first qualifier, followed by a victory in the second heat.
The speed in the No. 2 carried over to the feature, as Reesor turned a great starting spot into a solid performance throughout. He battled inside the top-five all race long, ultimately crossing the finish line with a second-place finish.
Reesor will be back at Sunset Speedway this Saturday, August 28.
Reesor’s first season at Sunset Speedway is supported by Barrie Nissan, OS Custom Exhaust & Performance, One Stop Muffler and Brake, Bullseye Axe Throwing, Barrie Fiberglass Pools and Spas, Barney’s Auto Electric, Auto Trim of Barrie, Greywood Custom Stairs and Railings, and Shepherds Docks.
