SAUBLE BEACH, Ontario — Returning back home to Sauble Speedway for the Beat the Heat 150, Wally Wilson did not have the day he envisioned.
After starting off the day by showing promise in practice, the No. 69 Late Model ran into some mechanical issues. The team worked hard, though, getting the car ready for the feature.
Starting from the tail of the field, Wilson was set to gain seat time, but ultimately the issues creeped back up and he had to pull off on Lap 20. He was credited with a 15th-place finish.
Wilson will be back behind the wheel of the No. 69 Outlaw Midget on Saturday at Sunset Speedway, before driving the Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC OSCAAR presented by Just Foam It modified on Sunday at Sunset.
Wally Wilson Racing is proud to have support from The Fyre Place & Patio Shop, Have1.com, Mister Transmission in Owen Sound, and Napoleon.
