SAUBLE BEACH, Ontario — Despite running into issues to start the Beat The Heat 150 at Sauble Speedway, Coltin Everingham left the event with a top-10 finish.
Everingham started off the day by laying down a lap of 15.060 seconds, to qualify 11th for the 150-lap event. He would work his way up into the top-10 in the early laps, though began to notice issues at Lap 30.
“I noticed that the car was making some noise without moving to its full potential,” he shared. “The clutch was starting to go, which meant we were in for a really long race. We battled hard and was thankfully able to make it to lap 150 on the lead lap with no clutch left – to the point I couldn’t go up the small incline to get into my pit stall.”
His perseverance paid off, though, as Everingham crossed the finish line with a 10th-place finish.
Everingham will be back behind the wheel of the pro late model on Saturday at Sunset Speedway, before driving the No. 96 Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC OSCAAR Modified presented by Just Foam It for Wally Wilson Racing on Sunday.
Everingham Racing is proud to be sponsored by Dwayne Clugston Zolo Reality, Ryan’s Landscaping, Caldecott Millwright, The Fyre Place & Patio Shop, Eagle Eye Contracting, Short Track Musings, SamEster, Innisfil Garage Doors, Shelby D Designs, CRP, and the McGrath family.
