INNISFIL, Ontario — Battling hard throughout the event, Wally Wilson would place just outside the top-10 in the season opener at Sunset Speedway.
Wilson finished eighth and sixth in his pair of qualifiers, setting him up to start 17th in the feature. He would avoid the incidents in the early stages of the event and steadily climbed his way up the running order to cross the finish line in 12th.
Wilson has a busy weekend of racing ahead of him, as he will head to Peterborough Speedway and perform double duty in running the second event of the Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC OSCAAR Modifieds presented by Just Foam It season, as well as his Outlaw Midget. He will then make the trip to Sauble Speedway on Sunday to jump behind the wheel of the Pro Late Model.
Wally Wilson Racing is proud to have support from The Fyre Place & Patio Shop, Have1.com, Mister Transmission in Owen Sound, and Napoleon.
