Wally Wilson Scores Pair of Top-10’s During Busy Weekend of Racing

OWEN SOUND, Ontario — Racing at two different tracks in two opposite cars across three days, Wally Wilson was able to have some success with a pair of top-10 finishes.

The weekend started off Friday night at Delaware Speedway with the APC Auto Parts United Late Models Series. After qualifying in for the 100 lap feature, Wilson ran into a steering issue 15 laps into the event, forcing him to pull down pit road. He was credited with 26th-place.

Wilson then made the haul to Sauble Speedway on Saturday, finishing fourth and fifth in the qualifying heats with the Outlaw Midgets. Unfortunately, he ran into an issue during the race, not completing all the laps en route to an eighth.

He returned on Sunday, thankfully having figured out the problem with help from Larry Wilson and Richard Woodland. It paid off with a fourth in the first heat, and a runner-up in the second qualifier. He showed speed in the feature, scoring a sixth.

Wally Wilson Racing is proud to have support from The Fyre Place & Patio Shop, Have1.com, Mister Transmission in Owen Sound, and Napoleon.
